1. Annealing

Cold drawn steel will produce internal stresses after cold working, which can be eliminated by annealing. Annealing can reduce the hardness and strength of the material, but at the same time it can also increase the toughness and ductility of the material.

2. Normalizing

Normalizing is a heat treatment method for some high-strength cold drawn steels. The principle is to keep the material at a certain temperature for a period of time and then cool it to room temperature at a certain speed. This treatment method can improve the hardness and strength of the material.

3. Quenching

Quenching is to heat the material at a high temperature and then cool it rapidly, generating deformation forces of expansion and contraction, thereby changing the organizational structure of the material. Quenching can usually increase the hardness and strength of the material, but it will also reduce the toughness and ductility of the material.
